At Hawaii Advanced Imaging Institute, our goal is to make your experience as comfortable and easy as possible. That's why we added video goggles for our MRI patients. The CinemaVision 3D virtual reality system makes you feel as if you are watching a movie in a theater. You can't even tell you're in an MRI scanner! This system provides relief from the anxiety of lying in the tunnel of the scanner, especially for the claustrophobic patient. You can bring your own DVD or even your iPOD and watch the movie or program of your choice during the scan. The headset also provides relief from the loud knocking and buzzing of the scanner while also serving as a two-way communication system that enables you to talk to the technologist during the scan.
